Bangkok Day 3 & 4 : Chatuchack Market + Train Market Srinakarin

In the morning of third day in Bangkok, we went to Chatuchak weekend market. In order to go Chatuchak we have to use BTS to Mo Chit station and walk to chatuchak market. It's a huge market! Many people towards the same direction from Mo Chit BTS. There are lots of things selling there. Whatever you want, can be find there.

We were enjoyed the food very much! Too many nice food in the market! As you can see from below photos!!! Everywhere are selling the juice something like orange juice??! Coconut, coconana, special cincau and the fried pork is very very nice!!! Must try in Chatuchak market! special highlight~ ^.^ you wont regret if you try it but it is not cheap, one piece of  pork chop cost around THB100 depends on gram @ Section 22.

Orange Juice? with Choconana                           Special Cincau Ice

Wow a very famous coconut and nice pork chop

There are many sections in the market. If you need to save your time to shop, can can download the map and narrow down the sections to shop. Price quite cheap also, but depends on shops. I've bought a short Jean and its only 160THB!!! YES its only 160THB! Its worth, people were busying trying. End up we also buy lots of things over there.

Yes, these are the things we bought in Chatuchak market.

After that we went to Massage school nearby BTS Phrom Phong @Sukhumit 19. There are lots of tourist massage in the centre especially westernmost. We has enjoyed our one hour foot massage for THB250.

At around 7pm we heading to Train Market Srinakarin. From BTS On Nut, we need to take a taxi to the destination but most of the driver not going there. We been for few, around 10 mins there. When we wanted to give up, we get taxi driver to go there. You can just tell the driver to Secon Square, just further of secon square you can see lots of people walking in the street. We have to jam in the traffic around half an hour with just few kilometers. maybe because of the peak hours so most of the driver dont want to go this area. 1 hour in the taxi cost around THB150 but we only pay THB70 when we went back to On Nut BTS.

Along the way there are lots of shops especially pet shop. Tthen we found some food so we had our dinner in the staff. Thailand very normal and nice pork rice with egg. Surprisingly the price here is the most cheaper among others. Most of the skirt, pants, clothing only 10-20 THB. Too bad we didnt manage to buy much here because we already spent a lot in previous. We just walk for around 2 hours then we went back home and pack our luggage.

Beautiful view in Train Market Srinakarin ~

All the things we bought in Bangkok for 4D3N ONLY....O.O Shop till drop @.@

Day 4

We didnt go anywhere in Day 4 because our flight is at 12.30pm. but still manage to buy Naraya bag in the Airport but less choices compare to Central World and Asiatique.

As a conclusion, I very enjoy "shopping" in this trip. There are really lots of cheap and nice things in Bangkok especially clothes. I will definitely come back and visit you soon~ See you~ Bye~

Bangkok Day 2: Pratunam market + Platinum Mall + Big C & Central World

We planned this day 2 trip to Pratunam market, Platinum Fashion mall, Big C and Central World.
Pratunam market is located opposite to platinum mall, However when we went to Pratunam Market, there were not many shops open, but we still managed to buy some clothes there. we had to bargain in order to get a good price for the clothes, and especially if you bought more than two you can definitely get a discount.

Overall, we were surprised that the market that we went was just not the same as what we have watched in youtube but still get a good prices for the clothes that we bought at the market.

After two hours spent at pratunam market, we then headed to Platinum Fashion Mall. At the mall the overall price is quite pricey compared to the market that we went the next day, but you will still be able to buy clothes at around 100 - 200 THB. Overall all the good and nice clothes will cost you around THB 200- 400. and one more thing that you should do is try to go to the upper level at the first time you go to the mall as the price would be cheaper than the lower level. Also, Platinum fashion mall is divided into two building or wings. one building was way crowded and full of people, while there is one building you will find very few people. If you feel that the place you are going has few people around, you may try to go to the next building as there is bridge that will connect you to the wings (you will be able to see the difference).

Every floor of the building will have different categories of products on sales. However, you will find more of Ladies than Men's. Men's clothes is only at one floor max, it is definitely a heaven for ladies to go thee, and I managed to buy lots of clothes there.

After done with shopping, we went for lunch break at McDonald's in the mall. We tried the Samurai Pork Burger set meal, around THB 150. It is really nice, but there is no Lunch Value meal as like in Malaysia from 12 PM to 3 PM.

                                                Samurai Pork Burger super nice!!!

Afterwards we then went to BIG C supermarket (It is like Giant, Tesco, and Jusco In Malaysia). Here there are lot of snacks you could buy, i.e Seaweed, Pretz, Big C Brand snacks,Dried Mango,  Peanut. For Seaweed and Peanut you can find it in Malaysia but of course it  is more expensive in Malaysia.

                                                       Bought a lot!!!

Finally, we went to our last destination for the day, Central World, here we only go for Naraya Bag, and went for the Shibuya French Toast, A must for every one to try after a tiring day. The name for the cafe is "After You Dessert Cafe" you definitely have to queue first before you can get a seat, you will be given the queue number and once it reach you number you will be shown the seat table, but you would have to order it at the counter. Once you have made the payment you may wait at your seat table and they will serve your order.

Big Naraya outlet in lower level of Central World

We ordered the "Nutella Toast" big portion for around THB 190 and it was a fair portion for both of us. We enjoyed our time at the cafe, and we were able to relax after a whole day of walking.

                                                           Q and waiting for seat....

                                                                      Delicious~

We found Citibank branch in Central World, and as our money seems to have dried up after this day trip, we decided to use Citibank credit card to withdraw some money for our next few days shopping.

                                                   Spent all $$$ in Platinum & Big C @Day 2

Bangkok Day 1: Siam + Asiatique

March 06 flight to Bangkok. This was a bit rush as I was just back from family trip to Hong Kong 2 weeks back and secondly due to political issues in Bangkok for more than 3 months since last year. Luckily just few days before our trip to Bangkok things have changed for better for us.

Previously we had booked our accommodation @Ekkamai, Sukhumit Soi 65 via Airbnb website. It is a bit far from the town but at least it is "safe" to stay. Our owner is very nice, he is an American. Once we reach Don Meaung Airport, we asked for taxi at the counter but it was really expensive. They charge around THB800 to reach our condo but at last we still accepted with THB700. Though, we  had been told by Chris, who was our owner that actually from airport to his place only THB300 max. Thus, it was a lesson to ask for meter before you get into the taxi next time.

Once we settled in to the apartment, we started our first place to have our lunch. We went to Siam station via BTS. From our condo walk to BTS Ekkamai is between 5-10 mins. Siam Square, Siam Paragon and Siam Center are just nearby Siam BTS Station. Siam Paragon is just like KLCC in Malaysia. It sells lots of branded and expensive goods. We were unable to shop because we are busy searching for restaurant Mr Jones Orphanage. @ Siam Center. Siam Center is also a Shopping complex center but not crowded (maybe is due to weekdays) inside the mall there are not much things and it is also quite expensive.

At last we managed to find the restaurant in level 3, the environment is good just that the space in the restaurant  is too small including the tables chairs, thus, not that cozy to have your meal.

we ordered one strawberry pancake and a pot of tea. it was quite pricey but its good to experience still. Afterwards, we walked around and found this unique TV. Haha classic!

Around 5 PM we started our journey to Asiatique!
In order to go to Asiatique you need to use BTS to Saphan Taksin and then walk to river side and get a free ferry or express boat THB30  to reach destination.

Asiatique was a good experience that we had, as it had a very nice view and the building is unique (you definitely can takes lots of photo there). There were a lot of shops inside, including  some restaurants, bars. Total 10 sections in Asiatique, there are some furniture, bags, clothes, shoes, and food. Most of the things are not cheap there but we still managed to buy some, like , keychain, coin wallet and a pair of slipper.
Slipper costed me around THB220.

You would be able to find NARAYA bag at the section 1. You will not find any price difference for the NARAYA products in Asiatique with all other places. The price is the same or fixed for every bags, wallets you can find in NARAYA.

After that we had our dinner @section 6. There are lots of people eating at the restaurant but the price is not cheap and we ordered a green curry fried rice and pad Thai. It tasted just ok but not worth for the price. Also, we ordered the rose drink, but it tasted different and maybe we could not accept it. We continued our shopping till 10 PM then we went back to our apartment. I personally believed if you go with a big group of friends actually you can try to go to their bar and enjoy the nice night scene.
